FRIENDS of ALUM CREEK & TRIBUTARIES
Calendar of Events & Meetings

routinely check FACT's web calendar of forthcoming meetings, educational workshops, service events (clean-ups, plantings), recreational activities (bike, hike, canoe), etc. for FACT and other local environmental & watershed support organizations.

Many of FACT's general get togethers features educational programs with guest speakers from central Ohio. Past "meetings" have featured presentations on back yard conservation with native plants, rain gardens, green fertilizing techniques, representatives from various Divisions of the City of Columbus, Westerville, Bexley, Ohio Department of Natural Resources staff, special environmental reports on the Alum Creek watershed, review ongoing watershed and/or land usage issues, etc. Sometimes we might head outside with an on-site tour of a park, trail, land development, natural areas, wetlands, etc. along the Alum Creek river and riparian corridor with a local naturalists or guide.
