FACT was among many river protection groups in Central Ohio that
celebrated
our waterways with cleanups and drain lableling events during Central
Ohio
River Pride Week. More than 60 people, including members of the Bexley
High School Environmental Club members, a local Boy Scout troop, Broad Street
Methodist Church, and the Holtzman Main Business Association
participated to
clear 115 bags of trash, not to mention many tires and large items.
Westerville Sunrise Rotary Club members team en masse with FACT and the
Westerville Parks and Recreation Department to clear debris from
Cherrington
Park, which boarders Alum Creek in Westerville. Many seedlings were
also
planted along areas that were disturbed for a new portion of
Westerville's
bike path along Alum Creek.
